JVV - Olympic Alternative

Afternoon all! JVV is back with a bang this week and the latest entry really had to be about the Olympics, didn’t it?! Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few months you will have definitely contracted the Olympic fever which is currently spreading like wildfire across the capital. So as a nice alternative to this, the video to go into the vault this week is a short film by Amael Isnard and Leo Bridle which takes an alternative approach to the torch relay – showcasing some of London’s less seemly but still well-known characters on a Olympic torch relay of their own!

I have to say that although the whole torch relay process has been a long and drawn out affair now that the moment is almost upon us to witness the opening ceremony a strange feeling of national pride has come over me. Despite all the worries of botched security and the troubles with transport I have a really good feeling about the games in general. Only time will tell but I believe all these issues are soon to be eclipsed by what many call the greatest sporting event in the world. Enjoy!
