Sky Bet Business Showing Stabilisation

BSkyB has announced that revenue from its Sky Bet business for the three months to the end of September 2008 “showed stabilisation from prior year declines”, remaining flat year-on-year at £11m. The entertainment group posted a 21% increase in overall operating profit to £182m for the quarter, with revenue up by 5% on the comparable period to £1.2bn. Sky Poker also announced yesterday that it has appointed Des Duffy as head of poker. Duffy was previously head of commercial for Sky Betting and Gaming.
